Robert Jones
Lieutenant Colonel Robert Jones is currently employed as a program manager within Defence’s new Mental Health and Wellbeing Branch and responsible for strategic enterprise mental health and wellbeing reforms across Defence targeting mental health, wellbeing and suicide prevention. Lieutenant Colonel Jones is military officer with 30 years of service, who has maintained a parallel career as a paramedic and clinical educator for the past two decades.
Highlights to Lieutenant Colonel Jones’ military career include service as: military health advisor (Iraq), providing strategic and operational advice across Australian and New Zealand Forces; Commander of the Trauma Hospital Taji, Iraq, leading a multinational clinical team; and Executive Officer within Defence’s Task Force for the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide.
