Casey Naden
My name is Casey Naden, proud Wiradjuri Women from Orange NSW, my people are from the Gilgandra, Condobolin, Peak Hill area. I have worked in mental health for 14 years and more specifically 8 years in Suicide Prevention. I currently work at the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service as the Care and Recovery Lead in the Culture Care Connect Program/Bilingarra Bagurany Barraminya Program and overseeing the Build Aboriginal Resilient Community team . I consider myself as a strong advocate for the people I work with in the mental health space. I’m passionate about helping close the gap within my culture through improving the lives of those around me and creating a sustainable positive change. I want to break down the negative connotation of mental health and suicide and improve the impact it has on rural and remote communities by sharing my knowledge and skills.
