Alice Campbell-Jones
Alice Campbell-Jones is the Suicide Prevention Manager at the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (CAAC) in Alice Springs, where she leads culturally safe crisis response and aftercare programs across Central Australia. Her work focuses on strengthening referral pathways, embedding cultural governance into service delivery, building partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and NT Police, and ensuring support reaches geographically isolated communities.
With extensive experience in suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention, Alice has a strong background in frontline practice, service design, and community-led initiatives She is in the final year of her Master of Suicidology at Griffith University, where her research is exploring the postvention needs of remote Aboriginal communities in Central Australia following a suicide, grounded in the lived experiences and voices of community members.
Alice regularly presents at conferences on culturally responsive aftercare models and Aboriginal-led suicide prevention. She has served on several boards dedicated to mental health and suicide prevention, including her current roles as a Board Member of the Mental Health Association of Central Australia (MHACA) and a member of the Suicide Prevention Australia Northern Territory Committee. She is committed to advocating for systemic change, strengthening community resilience, and advancing culturally safe responses to suicide across remote Australia.
