Nichola Parry is an impassioned advocate for suicide prevention, dedicated to amplifying the voices of people with a lived experience of suicide to inform and shape systemic reform. In her role as Head of Lived Experience Engagement and Integration at Roses in the Ocean, Nichola focuses on building the capacity, skills and confidence of people with a lived experience of suicide, empowering them to actively and meaningfully contribute to a range of suicide prevention activities, including service design, policy development and community engagement. Nichola’s work prioritises authentic engagement and sustainable practices that support the growth of the lived experience workforce across Australia. By supporting individuals with a lived experience of suicide to step into roles of influence and leadership, her efforts contribute to a culture where lived experience is valued as a vital component of suicide prevention strategies.
