Gill Townsend
Gill has over 40 years experience in direct social services management, design and delivery. Commencing her career as a residential social worker in London Gill has worked in disability advocacy, as Coordinator of a women's refuge, and in both the Human Rights Commission and Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission. For the past 15 years Gill has worked in the mental health arena with a particular focus on person led service delivery and design. She has also held positions as President of Queensland Alliance for Mental Health and Deputy Chair of Queensland Domestic Violence Council. She has lived and worked in Far North Queensland since 1988.
