Tiyana Gostelow
Tiyana Gostelow is a senior mental health and suicide prevention leader with more than 25 years’ experience delivering large-scale reform across government, primary care and community sectors.
As Director of Operations for SafeSide Prevention (Australia & New Zealand), she leads national and statewide implementation, including the Australian Defence Force SafeSide Project and the WA Mental Health Commission’s system-wide suicide prevention initiative. She specialises in translating evidence into sustainable practice change across complex service systems.
A key strength of Tiyana’s leadership is building trusted partnerships before implementation begins. She invests time in services to understand the local context, culture, strengths, and past reform efforts, ensuring change is practical, safe, and achievable. This relationship-first approach has supported consistent, high-quality implementation across diverse health services, particularly in large, multi-site initiatives.
Tiyana is recognised for calm, ethical leadership and for strengthening governance, workforce capability and accountability to achieve measurable, system-wide impact.
