Lauren E Donnan

Dr. Lauren Donnan holds a PhD in Education and Social Work from the University of Auckland, specialising in Aotearoa’s young carers—tamariki (children) and rangatahi (youth) caring for whānau/family members with a disability, illness, mental illness, substance misuse, or due to advanced age. Previously Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor at World Vision New Zealand, she now serves as Research, Innovation, and Evaluation Manager at suicide prevention charity MATES in Construction New Zealand. Driven by a deep commitment to social issues and community well-being, Lauren’s work is grounded in collaborating with communities and stakeholders to create evidence-based solutions that spark change from grassroots to systemic levels.
