Bonnie J Scarth
Based in Perth, WA these days, I have over 20 years experience in community leadership, academic and applied research, evaluation, health promotion, and NGO services coordination.
During this time I have successfully managed diverse teams, multi-site projects, written and implemented short and long-term strategies, and attracted significant funding for organisations and projects.
In addition, I have published over 10 peer-reviewed research articles and chapters and delivered several conference presentations.
I have been awarded a number of scholarships, including a Fulbright scholarship based at Cornell University and a Suicide Prevention Australia PhD scholarship for my PhD titled, “Co-Designing Whole Family Supports for Perinatal Suicidal Behaviour Intervention and Prevention.”
My PhD is supervised by: Dr Kylie King (Monash University, School of Psychological Sciences), Dr Sarah Hetrick (University of Auckland, Psychological Medicine), Dr Sarah Fortune (University of Auckland, Population Mental Health), Dr Vincent Mancini (The Kids Research Institute), and Dr Laura Biggs (Murdoch Children's Research Institute).
I have long balanced my work and academic endeavours with parenting as I’m a mum to three children; two in their twenties and one primary schooler.
