Kairi Kõlves
Professor Kairi Kõlves works at the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP) and is the Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Suicide Prevention, School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University. She has been working in suicide research and prevention since 1998. Between 1999 and 2008, she worked at the Estonian-Swedish Mental Health and Suicidology Institute and joined AISRAP in 2008. Prof Kõlves has been involved in several national and international projects and has been an adviser to the World Health Organization. She is a member of a number of national and international advisory committees (e.g., the WHO’s Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Mental Health, Brain Health and Substance Use). Her work has been published in over 170 peer-reviewed papers, and numerous book chapters and reports. She is the lead editor of 'Advancing Suicide Research' (Hogrefe, 2021), an edited book focusing on conducting high quality suicide research.
