Keeping up with developments in suicide prevention is challenging. There are so many areas, cross-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary, that relate when it comes to addressing the complex biopsychosocial issues of suicide prevention, intervention and postvention. An emerging area for cross-disciplinary research and development is understanding and responding to trauma, and its various forms including vicarious trauma. This presentation will explore the recent trends in applying trauma informed perspectives across disciplines, using Suicide Prevention Australia’s Learnlinc Directory as a foundation for discovery. Participants will be invited to consider how a trauma informed approach could be integrated into their own areas of expertise, hobbies, and personal lives.
